He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Richard and Ethel Stephens; his daughter Pamela R. Stephens; his siblings, James Stephens, Mark Stephens and Jessie Bennett; and his brother-in-law Phil Alexander.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Lee Stephens; his children, Michael H. Stephens (Beverly) and Rhonda L. Stephens Wall (Bill); his siblings, Von Stephens (Glenda) and Dixie Alexander; his brother-in-law Steve Bennett; his grandchildren, Zackary Wall (Cammeron), Cody Wall (Teara), Mitchell Stone (Belinda), Billy Powell Jr. (Francis), Kelsey Bartel, Brady Powell (Nicole), MiKayla Stephens and Mason Wall; and his nephew Todd Duncan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
