With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Cole of Chatsworth, Georgia, born in Tellico Plains, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 24, 2025 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Ledford Cole Leroy; and his brothers, Harold Cole and Howard Cole. He is survived by: his wife Wilma "Jody" Cole; his children, Justin (Tina Cole), Jamie (Brian Newton), Ray Cole of Clifton, NY and Michael Cole of Dalton, GA; his grandchildren, Hannah Cole and Cressa Blackburn; his brother Gerald; his siblings-in-law, Helen Cole of Loudon, TN, Jan Cole of Dayton, FL, Marilyn, Wayne Murphy of Harrison, TN, Kathy Bean of Athens, TN, Anthony and Kelly Leroy of Birchwood, TN; and his close friends, George Stokes of Cleveland, TN, David Bell of Rocky Face, GA and Mike Conry of Chattanooga, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
