He was predeceased by: his daughter Deborah Evon Davis; his parents, Newman R. Davis and Bernice Parrott Davis; and his sister Charlotte Davis Clark. He is survived by: his friends, Bill Hansird, Tom Ramsey, Billy Townsend, James Adams (Syrupy), Jack Hawkins, Bucky Crisp, James Powell, Bob Wilson, Junior Long, Bruce Kendrick, Bobby Mosteller and Barry Minter; his wife Shirley Baggett Davis; his children, Angie Powell (Clay), Noviena Cloer (Jeff) and Nathan Davis of Chatsworth; his grandchildren, Cayla West (Nathan) of Ellijay, Karissa Jones (Lucas) of Chatsworth, Will Powell (Cassidy) of Chatsworth, Karley Davis of Chatsworth, Chad Cloer (Kala) of Chatsworth and Joey Cloer of Chatsworth; his sister-in-law Julia Baggett; and his caregiver William Tibbs. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren.
