She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband John Thomas Hicks; her children, Jackie Chasteen (Jeff), Brandy Hicks and Reed Hicks (Brandy); her grandchildren, Lance Chasteen Chase (Alexys), Haley Cornett Jeremy (Kyle), Hannah Rubin (Griffin), Kacie Canady Destinee (James) and John-John Hicks; and her great grandchildren, Hadley, Hayes, Atticus, Zadie, Waylon, Stoeger, Tiziana, Brianna, McKynlee, Averson, Hanson, Jolene and James.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shawn Chapman's Funeral Home (2362 US-76, Chatsworth, GA 30705). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Free Hope Baptist Church (4176 US-76, Chatsworth, GA 30705).
