He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Barber and Ernestine Fowler Barber; and his sister Brenda Russell. He is survived by: his daughter Angela Fleming (Tim); his grandchildren, Katie Ellison (Rodrick), Kyle Fleming (Nikki) and Ella Fleming; his great grandchild Max Ellison; and his siblings, Tommy Barber (June) and Anna Ellison. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
