He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Gilbert and Annie Ruth Gilbert; his former wife Donna Gilbert; and his siblings, Joey and Mark Gilbert.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Allen Gilbert of Chester; his daughters, Brittany Maddox (Justin) of Chester and Alicia Southerland (Brian) of Eastman; his stepdaughter Ashley Hawkins of Warner Robins; his brother Johnny Gilbert (Pam) of Chester; his grandchildren, Greyson, Madison, Gracie, Karianna and Kendrix; and his pets, Luna and Max.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rowland Chapel Church of the Nazarene (791 E Chicken Rd, Chester, GA 31012). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
