He was predeceased by: his father William Jefferson; his sons, Alton Aundre "Andy" Edwards, Jr. and Steven Edwards; and his siblings, Elizabeth Shook, Clayton, James and Joe Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Holcomb Edwards of Chickamauga, GA; his children, Gerald Edwards (Dana) of Ooltewah, TN, Jennifer Butler (Jacob) of Rossville, GA, James Edwards (Suzanne) of Flintstone, GA and Leslie Edwards (Jennifer) of Rossville, GA; his brother William Jefferson Edwards, Jr. (Sue) of Dalton, GA; his grandchildren, Autumn Perry, Dakota Edwards, Christa Edwards (Michael Wright), Nicholas Edwards, Averie Edwards, Brayden Edwards, Madison Edwards, Patrick Cahoon, Daxtin Edwards, Bayleigh Cahoon, Blake Edwards (Tiffany) and Jarrett Edwards (Katrina); and his great grandchildren, Braylin Woods, Zaiden Wright, Raven Wright, Tucker, Stevie, Pasley, Preston and Kinly Edwards. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
