Chester Ray Crowder Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chester Ray Crowder of Chickamauga, Georgia, who passed away on February 15, 2026, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Chickamauga; his wife Martha Jo Mullis Crowder; and his siblings, Mattie Lowe Taylor and Malcolm Crowder. He is survived by: his father Chester Lee Crowder (Bessie Fitts Crowder); his daughters, Connie Capehart and Karen Hicks; his sister-in-law Juanita Crowder; his grandchildren, Britt Jones (Clayton), Kara Van Brunt (Jeremy) and Beth Elliott (Drew); and his great grandchildren, Betsy Allen, Emery Van Brunt, Ellie Van Brunt and Cameran Elliott. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
