He was predeceased by : his parents, Samuel Farris and Effie Rosella Stanfield Wardlaw; his wife Helen Wardlaw; his siblings, Betty Jay, Gertrude Israel, Albert Wardlaw, Samuel Farris Wardlaw Jr., J. D. Wardlaw and Helen Hurley; and his sister-in-law Margaret (Mary Wardlaw).
He is survived by : his son David; his daughter-in-law Barbara Wardlaw of Lookout Mountain, TN; and his brother Charles Wardlaw (Shirley) of LaFayette, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
