He is survived by: his children, James Chappelear, Jr. (Lacina), Mark Chappelear (Tracey), Josh Chappelear (Beth) and Pamela Smith (Greg); and his grandchildren, Mitchell, Toby (Allison), Micah (Haley), Garrett (Lydia), Greyson (Lillian), Dillon (Allison), Chandler, Kayleigh (Josh), Kara, Cooper and Colson. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
