He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Bowman and Geneva Bowman; his children, Jerry Chris Bowman and Sherrie Renae Holcomb; and his brothers-in-law, Ricky Daniel and David Gibson.

He is survived by: his children, Debbie Simerley (Troy), Ricky Bowman (Patricia) and Tammy Durham (Chris); his sister-in-law Wanda Culver; his siblings, Barbara Daniel, Faye Gibson and Terry Bowman (Cheryl); his children-in-law, Ricky Holcomb and Diane Bowman; and his close friend Charles Kilgore. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lane Funeral Home - South Crest Chapel (833 Chickamauga Ave, Rossville, GA 30741). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
