He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Glen Hefner and Mary Eugene Fortenberry Hefner; his siblings, Linda Hooper, Sam Hefner (Barbara) and Jim Hefner (Dorothy); and his brother-in-law Joe Bryant.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hise Hefner; his stepdaughter Cary Ferguson (Randy); his stepgrandchildren, Britney Ferguson and Jordan Ferguson (Kelsey); his sisters, Betty Faulkenberry (Howard), Ann Bryant and Glenda Clark; and his friend Ron Ward. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
