He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Belle Hughes Shook and Joseph William "Bud" Shook. He is survived by: his wife Alona Beckham Shook; his children, Melanie Brown (Eric) of Carroll County, Georgia and Jonathan Shook (LeAnne) of Chickamauga, Georgia; and his granddaughters, Cassidy Brown and Cailee Grace Shook.
