Karen Sue Porter Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 23, 2023, at the age of 76, Karen Sue Porter of Chickamauga, Georgia, born in Washington, District of Columbia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Vernon Box and Elizabeth Rebecca Truitt Box; her son Wesley Alva Porter; and her brother Alan Vernon Box. She is survived by : her husband Alva L. "Pete" Porter III; her son Matthew David Porter; her granddaughters, Hayley Chase and Mia Caren Porter; and her sister Rebecca Box Malchon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She graduated from Memphis State University where she earned her Master's Degree, was on the Dean's List and President of the Wesley Foundation.
