He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Carter and Mary Lorene Hurst Vickers; and his sisters, Mary Joyce Bowerman and Frances Reed. He is survived by: his wife Delores Mavis Jarnigan Vickers of Chickamauga, GA; his children, Melissa Vickers of Chickamauga, GA, Anita LeVan (Jeff) of Benton, KY, Melinda Massey (David) of Chickamauga, GA, Darlene Dedmon (Kenny) of Ringgold, GA, Carla Quinn (Robert) of Red Bank, TN and Will Young (Jennifer) of Chickamauga, GA; and his sister Virginia Prince of Benton, KY. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
