He was predeceased by: his parents, James Howard, and Marie Howard, Sr.; and his siblings, James Howard, Jr., Tommy Howard, Leon Howard, Barbara Barnes and Ime Gene Trum.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Prescott Howard; his children, Melody Kay Jamison (Jerry), Wendy Sigakolli (Uday) and Michael Howard, Jr. (Tonia); his grandchildren, Ryan Pappas, Lindsay Thompson, Sydney Shearer, Scott Hutchins, Hope Welsh, Haley Collis, Hayden Howard, Arjun Sigakolli and Elena Rodriguez; and his great grandchildren, Knox Pappas, Reagan Pappas, Ellison Welsh, Nolan Wesh, Seth Hutchins, Jason Hutchins, Audrey Hutchins, Ashley Hutchins, Olivia Hutchins, Kate Hutchins, Owen Shearer, Matthew Norman and Henry Thompson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
