She was predeceased by : her parents, U. L. "Buck" Gravitt and Willie Mae Stoker Gravitt; her husband Harry Britton; her daughters, Teresa McCarty and Patricia Guffey; and her grandchildren, Kelly McCarty and Tina Whitlock.
She is survived by : her children, James Guffey of Catlett, GA, Willie Mae Kirkland of Chickamauga, GA, Jerry Guffey (Easter) of LaFayette, GA, Michael Guffey of LaFayette, GA and Allen Guffey of LaFayette, GA; her son-in-law James McCarty of Chickamauga, GA; her brother Raymond Gravitt of Chickamauga, GA; and her granddaughters, Kelsey Scott, Malaina Gentry and Mildred. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
