He was predeceased by: his parents, John Raymond Mayberry and Myrtle Mayberry (May); and his siblings, Willie Mae Morrow (Steele), Ivan Steele and G. L. Steele.
He is survived by: his wife LaBelle Mayberry (Wood); his children, Tina McKaig, Kimberly Parsons and Gene Mayberry, II; his brother Bobby Mayberry; his sister-in-law Alice Ruth Wooten; and his grandchildren, Rickey Webb, Robbie Mayberry, Brandon Parsons and Ory Mayberry. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family & friends.
