He was predeceased by : his parents, John William "J. W." and Bessie Pauline Derryberry Chambers. He is survived by : his wife Patricia Lee Baldwin Chambers of Chickamauga, GA; his sons, Chris Chambers of Chattanooga, TN and Mark Chambers (Pam) of Chickamauga, GA; his grandchildren, Ivy Kate James (Adam), Grayson Chambers and Katherine Sparks (Riley); and his siblings, Betty Woodall (Bill) of Flintstone, GA and David Chambers of Lookout Mountain, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Homes - Chickamauga Chapel (215 Lee Ave, Chickamauga, GA 30707). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
