He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Haden, Cora Nell McCoy, Lewis and Viola Taylor; and his sister Anita Taylor.

He is survived by : his parents, Walter Taylor Sr. and Linda Taylor; his wife Kelly Taylor; his daughters, Morgan Taylor (Cade), Shelby Goldsmith (Austin) and Ashleigh Nichols (Jason); his grandchildren, Scotland, Chloe and Sawyer; his siblings, Clifton Taylor and Tammy Taylor; and his adoptive daughter Julia Phillips.
