He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Calvin Louis Akins and Mary Katheryn Copeland Akins; his wife Teresa Akins; his daughters, Teresa Diane Akins and Sheena Lynn Akins Blevins (William); and his siblings, Carolyn Sue Bennett and Joseph Louis Akins. He was also cherished by 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
