She was predeceased by: her parents, Marlor Lee Benfield and Sallie Ivester Benfield; her siblings, Wilmer Benfield, Cosby Benfield, Curtis Benfield and Selma Watkins; her former husband Comer Dewey Duncan, Jr.; her grandson Jonathan Duncan; and her stepson Tim Dixon.
She is survived by: her son Joseph Duncan (Miriam); her granddaughter Melissa Duncan Carroll (Mickey); her great grandchildren, Breelyn Carroll, Maddox Carroll, Nolan Carroll and Weston Carroll; her siblings, Lewis Benfield, Larry Benfield and Doris Sims; and her stepchildren, Michael Dixon, Abbie Jane Bennett (Dan), Mary Anne Fournier (Steve), Matthew Dixon (Lisa), Rheanna Whitley (Lee) and Desi Barrett. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and cousins.
