He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Scoggins and Victoria Crow Scoggins; his siblings, Bill Scoggins, Sue Cargal and Jean Zimmerman; and his grandson Jeff Whitecotton.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Moon Scoggins of Clarkesville; his daughter Dani; his son-in-law Brad Whitecotton of Clarkesville; his grandchildren, Mary Beth Whitecotton Scoville (Cory) of Savannah and Reed Whitecotton (Sydney) of Cartersville; and his great grandchildren, Rafe Whitecotton, Ella Marie Scoville and Ava Elizabeth Scoville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.
