He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Garett Burton of Clarkesville; and his children, Brent Burton of Habersham, Justin Burton, Matt Sims (Heather) of Sautee, Brandy Caudell (Randy) of Mississippi, Joy Franklin (Dan) of Lula, Shana Franklin (Ed) of Clarkesville and Kristie Pruitt (Stephen) of Gainesville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
