She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Barrett and Nora Mae Burch Barrett; and her brothers, Larry and Phillip Barrett. She is survived by: her husband Leon Brown; her sons, Tim (Jamie Brown) and Chris Brown of Clarkesville; her grandchildren, Candace Newsom (Josh), Hannah Johnson (Kyle), Taylor Kolesnick (Cory Ivester) and Zach Brown (Makensy); her great grandchildren, Easton, Chasen, Saylor, Poppy and Tanner; her brother Ricky; and her sisters-in-law, Judy Barrett of Clarkesville and Betty Barrett (LaBrada Barrett) of Flowery Branch.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hillside Memorial Chapel (5495 GA-197, Clarkesville, GA 30523). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at the Yonah Memorial Gardens (US-441, Demorest, GA 30535).
