She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Ken" Whitmire and Lula Caroline Carnes Whitmire; her husband Terrell Sims; and her siblings, Ellen Hammond, Opal Hammond, Josephine Nix, Betty Cahill, Lillian Whitmire, Martha Jean Whitmire, Emmett Whitmire, William McKinley Whitmire, Talmadge Whitmire, Gerald Whitmire and Jerry Whitmire.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sherrie Sims (Darren Brown) of Baldwin and Angelia Sims Norris (Craig) of Clarkesville; her sisters, Joy Whitmire Dixon and Darlena Whitmire Church of Clarkesville; her grandchildren, Dyllin Carter of Cornelia, Cade Collins (Samantha) of Clarkesville, Abbagail Lynn Wright (Chris) of Cornelia, Chesney McAllister (Logan) of Carnesville, Payton Wright of Bradenton, Casidi Collins of Mt. Airy, Lily Turpin of Demorest and Evan Williams of Clarkesville; and her great grandchildren, Ben, Grayson, Colton, Cohen and Evander.
