We are sad to announce that on May 13, 2026, at the age of 81, Nell Ramey of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Wimpey and Velma Ferguson Wimpey; her daughter Loretta Ramey; and her siblings, Paul Wimpey, Richard Wimpey, Nora Bell Dale, Annie Mae Jackson and Laura Wimpey.
She is survived by: her husband David G. Ramey, Sr. of Clarkesville; her children, Tommy Ramey (Julie) of Clarkesville, Ramonia Allison of Clarkesville and Laura McCallister of Clarkesville; her grandchildren, Emily McVay (Chris), Jake Ramey (Kelley), Kara Moss (Derek) and Abby McCallister; her great grandchildren, Parker McVay, Oren Moss, Dawson McVay and Reid Moss; and her sister Jean England of Blairsville.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hillside Memorial Chapel (5495 GA-197, Clarkesville, GA 30523). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, May 17th 2026 at the Harvest Christian Church Cemetery (231 Harvest Church Rd, Clarkesville, GA 30523).
