She was predeceased by: her parents, William Roy Winningham Sr. and Nell Margaret Winningham (Shannon); and her husband Howard Brooks Sims, Jr.. She is survived by: her brother William Roy, Jr.; her children, Hachat (Doug), Howard Brooks Sims, III (Tammy) and Gary Wayne Sims (Tammy); her grandchildren, Rachel Branch (Brian), Charles Sims (Betzy), Nathan Boyd (Kristin), Kayla Sims, Ryan Boyd and Andrew Boyd; her great grandchildren, Sean Sims, Brooks Branch, Denver Branch, Joseph Sims and Jackson Boyd; and her daughter Donna Lynn (Sims).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel (3705 US-78, Snellville, GA 30039). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the White Oak Baptist Church (1352 Martin Nash Rd SW, Lilburn, GA 30047).
