He was predeceased by: his parents, Onnie Thompson and Ella Mae Thompson (Smith); his brothers, Onnie Thompson Jr. and Jerry R. Thompson; and his grandchildren, Kimberly Thayer and Devan Thompson.
He is survived by: his sisters, Diane Pitts of Swainsboro and Debbie Thompson of Fernandina, Florida; his children, Katosha Thompson of Pembroke and Gene Thompson (Misty) of Norristown; and his grandchildren, Bo Newsome of Pembroke, Blake Thompson of Norristown, Chasity Thompson of Norristown and Brittani Thompson of Midville. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Chapman Funeral Home (427 N Main St, Swainsboro, GA 30401).
