He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Smith and Cora Smith; his wife Wyndol Blalock Smith; and his grandson James Thomas Hennessey III. He is survived by: his children, Clyde Huey Smith, Donna Lee Smith and Harold Melton Smith; and his grandchild Pipa. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
