It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lavenia Tipton (Claxton, Georgia), who passed away on July 17, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Beecher and Mildred Beecher; her husband Charles Tipton; and her son Leon Tipton. She is survived by: her great grandchildren, Demi and Trace; her sons, Carl Tipton and Eddie Tipton; her granddaughters, Tiffany Tipton and Danielle Barrow (Matthew); her great grandchildren, Nicholas Johnston (Leah), Tanner Todd and Ty Todd; her great great grandchildren, Gavin, Maddox Lightsey and Henry Johnston; and also Charles. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home (513 W Main St, Claxton, GA 30417). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
