He is survived by: his wife Betty Mosley; his children, Eddie Mosley (Pam), Randy Mosley (Michelle), Laura Sapp (Ronnie) and Melanie Mosley Nettles; his sister Ruby Jo Dillard (David); his stepchildren, Judy Parkerson (Charles), Glenn Moseley (Pricilla) and Joy Mariani; and his grandchildren, John Hamner (Meghan), Zachary Mosley, Sarah Mosley, Michelle Mosley, Jackson Mosley, Hayley Waters (Nathan), Casey Mosley (Brad), David Nettles, Jr., Lauren Diaz (Danny), Dillon Nettles, Caroline Mosley, Destiny Ray and Hollee Moore. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, and five step great-grandchildren.
He was born on January 1, 1945, in Claxton, Georgia, where he would go on to make significant contributions to both his family and community.
