It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edgar Coit Hollifield of Clayton, Georgia, who passed away on September 13, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Coit Hollifield and Dorothy Hollifield. He is survived by: his wife Reneta "Skeet" Hollifield; his children, Holly Houck (Bobby) of Clayton and Eddy Hollifield (Cassy) of Clayton; his grandchildren, Makinzy Long (Johnathan), Maleigha McCraw, Will McCraw (Aislinn), Madison Houck, Emory Hollifield (Savannah), Austin Hollifield and Wyatt Hollifield; his great grandchildren, Mila Kate Long, Maggie Long, Maliviah Long, Maverick Long, Daxton Barrett, Delyla McCaw, Dallas McCaw, Silas Mason and Bristol Hollifield; his sister Nancy Parker (Tommy) of Clayton; his sibling's children, Maria Shirley (Josh) and Boone Parker (Lottie); and his pet Frank.
In Lieu of Flowers the family asks that donations be made to Battle Branch Baptist Church in memory of Eddy.
