It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eston Melton Jr. of Clayton, Georgia, who passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Eston Melton Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eston E. Melton (Skeet) and Genevieve J. Melton (Icky). He is survived by: his wife Peggy Ann; his sons, Eston Melton, Robert Melton of St. Louis, MO, Will Melton of Annandale, VA, Dan Melton of Spartanburg, SC and Thomas Melton; and his stepchildren, Wen Copeland of Clayton, GA, Christine Parks of Gainesville, GA, Lynda Ann Price of Clayton, GA, Tracey Lee Clayton of Savannah, GA and John Underwood of Highlands, NC. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the St. James Episcopal Church (260 Warwoman Rd, Clayton, GA 30525).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Outreach Fund at St. James Episcopal Church in Clayton.
