We announce the death of Joyce Wood (Clayton, Georgia), who passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 90. Joyce will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Burdett McDonald and Leona Ruth McDonald (Barnes); her husband Emmit Wood; and her daughter-in-law Andrea Wood. She is survived by: her children, Edmund Emmit Wood, Kimberly Joyce Ruff (Randy) and Tamra Talley (Clay); her siblings, Jack McDonald, Rita Jean Smathers and Patricia Rowland; her grandchildren, Tanya, Shane, Kristi, Wade and Rebecca; her great grandchildren, Tina, Madison, Bella of Shelley, AJ and Conner; and her great great grandchildren, Kyler and Madilyn.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Beck Funeral Home (898 US-441, Clayton, GA 30525). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Beck Funeral Home Chapel (898 US-441, Clayton, GA 30525).
