He was predeceased by: his parents, Revo Jones McClanahan and Lottie McClanahan (Shepherd); and his siblings, Jack, Bud, Bill, Bob and Janie McCrary.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Fitts McClanahan; his son James B McClanahan (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Sean McClanahan and Brigitte McClanahan (Nathan Martin); his daughter Micki McClanahan Jones; his grandsons, Nathan Jones and Jake Jones; his sisters, Dorothy Clayton and Rita Lance (Benny); his stepson Barry Fitts (Merry); his stepgrandchild Joey Fitts (Patty); Hailee Mae, Piper Joe, Adler, Lily Fitts, Luke Fitts, Albert Fitts (Nina), Aaron Fitts (Taelor), Riley, Merrill Fitts, Ben Fitts (Emily), William Fitts, Paul Fitts, Brittany, Megan and Aubrey Fitts. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Clayton First United Methodist Church (71 N Main St, Clayton, GA 30525).
