He is survived by: his parent Linda Friend Simmons; his stepfather Richard Simmons; his siblings, Wallace James Edge and Vickie; his brother-in-law Eddie Davis; his nephews, Anthony Carpenter, Christopher Johns and Eric Michael Root; and his great-nephew Anthony Carpenter, Jr..
A reception was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Barrett Funeral Home (118 N Brooks St, Cleveland, GA 30528).
