He was predeceased by: his former wife Gerry Cantrell; his parents, James Cantrell and Nicie Cantrell; and his siblings, LaVerne Martin, Taylor Cantrell, Vivian Callahan and Zonell Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Joann Cantrell; his children, Lisa LaPree (John), Kevin Cantrell (Kim) and De Ann Money; his grandchildren, Will LaPree, Roxana LaPree, Amanda Martin (Dillon), Timothy Cantrell (Blair) and Jonathan Cantrell; his great grandchildren, Hagen Hayworth, Oaklynn LaPree, Fallon Cantrell, Finley Cantrell, Axel Martin and Addison Martin; and his sister-in-law Linda Cantrell.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Strickland and Sons Funeral Home (260 Main St, Clermont, GA 30527). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Mount Vernon Baptist Church (5233 Will Wheeler Rd, Murrayville, GA 30564). A burial will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery (640 Main St, Clermont, GA 30527).
