He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Payne, Sr. and Sarah Ruth Dyer Payne; his brother Michael "Shorty" Payne; and his brother-in-law Michael Tow. He is survived by: his daughter Mary Beth; his son-in-law Chris Mays; his son Matthew Payne; his siblings, Jeanette Tow, Sandra Lee (Kip), Gary Payne (Rena) and Paul Payne (Vicki); and his close friend Brandy Passmore.
