As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Claude may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Martin Chastain and Cora Mae Holcomb. He is survived by: his wife Opal Chastain; his children, Karan Lee Chastain, Charlene Chastain, Keith Claude Chastain, Danny Chastain, David Chastain and Dewayne Brian Chastain (Christina); his brother Allen Martin Chastain; and his sister-in-law Marie Chastain. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home (118 N Brooks St, Cleveland, GA 30528). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
