It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Buddy Thomas of Cleveland, Georgia, born in Blairsville, Georgia, who passed away on May 8, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Thomas and Vonie Garrett Thomas; his daughter Teresa Gail Thomas; and his siblings, Bonnell Thomas, Barney Thomas, Jerry Thomas, Oneal Thomas and Patsy Welborn.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Thomas; his children, Tina Cook (Brian), Terrie Thomas (Jeff) and Scott Thomas (Melissa); his grandchildren, Brannon Cook (Tori) and Erin Cook; and his siblings, Jimmie McGee, Jackie Fain, Sammy Thomas, Herman Thomas, Kenneth Thomas and Robin Thomas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
