He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Junior Samples and Grace Bolton Samples; and his son Scotty Samples. He is survived by: his sister Helen Garrett. He is also survived by his loving wife of 53 years; a daughter, 6 granddaughters; a great grandson; a sister; 3 brothers; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and loving friends.
