Billy Eugene Braswell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 16, 2025, at the age of 80, Billy Eugene Braswell of Cochran, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Braswell and Beatrice Rowland Braswell; his wife Betty Dempsey Braswell; and his siblings, Martha B. Bryant, Linda B. Beck, James Braswell, Roger Braswell and Tommy Braswell.
He is survived by: his children, Gene Braswell of Cochran and Kerri Carter (Zachary) of Macon; his grandchildren, Evan Carter and Morgan Carter; his siblings, Jean Hewett (Joe), Mary Ann Braswell, Jerry Braswell (Shirley) and Earl Braswell (Betty); and his siblings-in-law, Bertie Sue Dempsey, Betty Dempsey, Fay Rutherford, Judy Cabrera (Orlando) and David Dempsey (Marolyn). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mathis Funeral Home (151 E Dykes St, Cochran, GA 31014). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cochran Church of Christ, P.O. Box 444, Cochran, GA 31014.
