Gene Tapley Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Blount Tapley and Ethel Tapley; his wife Betty Davis Tapley; and his daughter Kris Daniel. He is survived by: his son Greg Tapley (Fran) of Forsyth, Georgia; his son-in-law Casey Daniel of Macon, Georgia; his daughter Erin Burch (Chris) of Hawkinsville, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Gibson, Bryce Daniel, Pierce Tapley, Carl and Gene Davis Burch. He is also survived by four sisters; and one sister-in-law.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mathis Funeral Home (151 E Dykes St, Cochran, GA 31014). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (101 SE 2nd St, Cochran, GA 31014).
