She was predeceased by : her parents, Columbus Johnnie Thompson and Bertha Mae Pierce Thompson; her husband George W. Giddens; and her brothers, Nathan Thompson and Daniel Thompson.

She is survived by : her children, Linda Di Bois (Mark) of Roddy and William Andy Giddens of Tifton; her granddaughters, Wendy Fletcher (Mike) of Lake Park and Laura Baughcum (Andy) of Cochran; her great grandchildren, Nicole Baughcum of Cochran, Lana Roberts (Weston) of Lake Park, Leah Fletcher of Lake Park and Michael Fletcher of Lake Park; and her sister Clara T. Broome of Roddy. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Roddy Baptist Church (1550 Empire Chester Hwy, Cochran, GA 31014). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Yearty Family Cemetery (209 Yearty Cemetery Rd, Cochran, GA 31014).
