With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Halyna Lazarenko in Cochran, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Halyna departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Halyna may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Halyna leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Matvey Glushenko and Vasylissa Kononenko Glushenko; and her spouse Vasyl Lazarenko. She is survived by: her daughter Viktoriya Lanier of Cochran; and her granddaughter Sandra Barnett (Chris) of Warner Robins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Mathis Funeral Home (151 E Dykes St, Cochran, GA 31014). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Cedar Hill Cemetery (124 State Rte 126, Cochran, GA 31014).
