He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Evans, Sr. and Doretha Perry Evans; and his brothers, Clinton Evans and Ulysses Evans. He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Kurtz Evans; his children, Nicholas Evans (Wendy) and Nicole Ingram (Antonio); his goddaughters, Sierra Lashay Young and Misty Farrow (Myion); his nephew Albert Evans Jr. (Alice); his niece Debra Rozier; his siblings, Dorothy Rozier (Prentice), Eddie Evans and Edward Evans Jr.; his grandchildren, Courtney Burch, Taylor Thorpe, Aaliyah O'neal, Chelsea Evans, Joshua Evans, Dorian Evans, Christion Evans, Amiya Harvard, Justin Evans and Angel Evans; his siblings-in-law, Earlene Harris, Vivian Rudolph (Joe), Margaret Kurtz, Stacie Miller (Tyrus), Rodney Kurtz and J. L. Edmond; and his pet Parker. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Christian Hope Baptist Church (1792 GA-26, Cochran, GA 31014).
