As Ruth departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ruth may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ruth leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Sim Wilson Sr. and Margaret Wilson. She is survived by: her son William Steele (Charity Shiffer) of Oregon; her brother Dr. Sim Wilson Jr. of Cleveland; and her grandchildren, Billy Collins of Florida, Teresa Collins of Cohutta, David Steele of California, Tracy Steele of California and Eric Steele of Oregon. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Julian Peeples Funeral Home (2801 Cleveland Hwy, Dalton, GA 30721).
