He is survived by : his wife Autumn Farmer Strickland; his children, Robert George Strickland (Tripp) and Amanda Strickland McCall (Matthew); his grandchildren, Emily, Robert G. IV and Henry Strickland; and his sister Brenda Strickland Moon (Dennis).

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Moons Grove Baptist Church (1985 Moons Grove Church Rd, Colbert, GA 30628).
