Joann left this world on June 11, 2025 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Memphis King of Tennessee and Sylvia Nix King; her spouses, George Talmadge King and Jewel D. Spence; and her grandson George Brandon King.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Lynn Fleming, Russell Dean King, George Gregory King (Ginny), Timothy Wayne King (Genia), Jeffery Scott King (Hope), Brian Keith King, Joshua Adam King (Casey) and Cynthia King Waldrup (Timmy). She is also survived by 9 Grandkids & 12 Great Grandkids, 2 step Grandkids & 3 step Great Grandkids.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes (4355 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at the Lavonia Burgess Cemetery.
